Today the painter showed up for his first day of work. He’s spent all morning scraping off old paint and filling in cracks & holes. Tonight Elizabeth & I go pick up the paint and tomorrow the exterior painting begins.
After the painting is done, the new windows will be installed. They’ve been ordered and will be ready in about a week or two. The new grass is coming in nicely….. this covers up the spot where they dug up our lawn in December.
I’ve taken some “before” pictures and will show you the amazing transformation when it’s all done. We’re all very excited to have the house looking as pretty as the inside.
On the inside, we’ve only been doing minor changes. We’ve bought paint for Elizabeth’s bedroom, so we’ll paint that when we have new windows that open nicely for ventilation. We’ve put the railing back on the stairway that we’ve been meaning to replace ever since before mum was here in February. We have a new light for the bathroom waiting to be put up and kitchen knobs & pulls ready to be put on also. Both of those have been put off since we moved in.
My garden looks beautiful. The temperature is in the mid 90’s and should be in the low 100’s by next week.
