You’d think a long weekend would be relaxing.  Not with us!!  I got off work at noon on Wednesdsay, December 31, and didn’t have to go back to work until Monday the 5th of January. 

We borrowed Bryan’s truck and hauled a total of 2 loads of compost, 2 loads of topsoil, 2 trips to Home Depot for supplies, 2 bails of hay and 2 peach trees.  In the back yard, we now have built one garden planter, which is about 6′ by 13′ (inside measurement), so we’re all ready to plant this February.

Needless to say, our backs and knees are aching.  Our fingers and hands are sore and raw.  We nearly got frostbite (or at least it felt like it) and we didn’t get much sleep.  BUT we have a nice planter and the yard looks sooooo much better than it did.  I’ll try to get a picture of before & after for you soon.
