Saturday:  Daniel helped so much on Saturday.  Cameron helped us until he went to work at 1:00.  Trudy watched Elizabeth in the morning while we moved stuff onto the truck.  Just having someone to watch Elizabeth while we work makes all the difference in the world.   Mom & dad came down and helped out all day.  We didn’t know we had so much stuff!

Sunday:  Mom & dad came down and helped us move over a couple more loads out of the townhome to the house.  We picked up some new light fixtures and some curtains for Elizabeth’s bedroom to darken it up a bit.

Today:  The townhome floors were steam cleaned.  My mom is coming over and taking care of Elizabeth while Paul sets up his office, and when I get off work, she’ll watch the babe while Paul & I clean up the old house.

Elizabeth loves it when we dance around with her to music, she normally laughs and giggles really loudly, but I am thinking that she knows when I am videoing and is worried I will use these videos to tease her when she is older..

Which I probably will!

We are now the proud owners of a house.  The closing was this morning, but we don’t get the keys until Friday at noon.  We are taking Friday off work to start moving in some of the smaller things, and to clean up and look around a bit better…. basically just prepare for the big moving day.

Is Elizabeth teething?  The drool has begun.  If she is, she couldn’t pick a worse time to have it happen.  And yes, I know she does it on purpose.

Last night after work, Elizabeth and I went to “grandma” Trudy’s house.  Alan got a coupon for a free pie.  He said he was going to use it up, but never did.  While cleaning the office this weekend, I found it.  Alan is in SLC, so I called Trudy and asked what pie she wanted.  I went and picked it up and Elizabeth and I took it over and just stayed out of Paul’s hair for a tiny bit.

1.  Secretary’s day
2.  St. George’s Day
3.  The day we close on the house.

At 11:00 a.m., we will be the owners of our new residence, which is our first “house”.  We’re super excited to get moved in this weekend.  The current owners are having the carpets cleaned on Friday, so on Friday night, we will be getting the keys handed over and at 9:30 on Saturday morning, we pick up the moving truck.  By the end of the day, we’ll be exhausted and ache from head to toe.  Anyone who is in the area is more than welcome to come help lift and move with us.

We got an early start this morning because Elizabeth had a eye doctor’s appointment at 8:30.  When she was really little, she had a clogged tear duct, so this was just a follow-up appointment to make sure it was still doing well.   No more appointments are scheduled.

The word from the bank & estate agent is that we can close whenever we want.  We’ll probably do it mid week next week, so it gives us a few extra days to get moved in before our renter (Mary) moves in on the 1st of May.

Cameron is out of school yesterday and today.  Last night he worked and today he is getting his hair done and going on a picnic with Nadalee.  He’s really burning up the fuel going to Dammeron Valley every other day to visit her.

Every time Nanny Doreen goes on holiday, Cameron gets another shirt.  I finally got Cameron to sit still to take a picture of his new shirt from Lanzarote.

pink-toy2.JPG       pink-toy1.JPG     I measured Elizabeth yesterday.  I don’t know how accurate it is, as she seems to wiggle non-stop, but I got 27 1/2″

Today is supposed to be in the upper 80’s.  NICE!   We went for a nice walk on Sunday and laid in the sun on the grass.  It was so hot that we had to move to the shade.  Only 25 degrees left to go until summer.

Elizabeth is still attached to this green basket thingy.  Over the weekend, she has actually fallen asleep with it gripped in her hand or with her hand through the handle.   I forgot to mention that I weighed her the other day and she is up to 16 lbs 6 oz.  She seems to have gotten longer, but I haven’t measured her yet.  As soon as the cold bug is completely out of the house, we’re going to take her in for her next set of shots.

Cameron worked all weekend, and even picked up an extra shift on Saturday.  He’s enjoying driving and having a truck.  It might come in handy having an extra truck & driver when we’re moving house, now that I think of it.

I was shopping at Target and my goal was to find a small basket to hold all of Elizabeth’s bathroom items, ie: shampoo, body wash, lotion, rubber ducky, etc.  I picked up this green basket and looked at it for about 5 seconds and put it back on the shelf.  Elizabeth FREAKED!!   I handed it to her and she immediately started gnawing on the handle.  Every time I tried to take it away, she started to cry.

After more looking, I found a wire mesh basket that worked much better for it’s intended purpose, but I could not take this green basket away from Elizabeth.  I figured that for $3, it wasn’t worth the hassle.  She wasn’t happy when I had to turn the basket a tiny bit for the checkout lady to scan the bottom, though.

Elizabeth had a grip on this basket all the way home and all night.  One day I’m sure she’ll use this basket as a purse to carry her toys around.  But for now, it’s just an oversized pacifier.

CAMERON:  He got his license yesterday and is SUPER excited.  He drove his truck to school today.
HOUSE:  The mortgage application was dropped off at the bank yesterday.  Next step is to get the appraisal.
COLDS:  We’re still sick.  I had forgotten to get started on my antibiotics (oops), so I filled my prescription yesterday.  Elizabeth sometimes has trouble eating because her nose is stuffed up, but I don’t think that she’s losing any weight because of it.  Mostly, her eyes are watery.  She’s not very cranky and isn’t nearly as bad off as Paul & I.
WORK:  Paul hasn’t gotten much done this week because he’s so sick.  My boss is gone to a conference in Park City, so I’ve been able to take it easy.  CNN has been sniffing around the office because of the Texas Polygamy thing.  The guy involved is on probation with Mohave County, and his probation officer is in my office.

Cameron will be getting his drivers license by the end of the day, today.  It scares me to death, but I know it was bound to happen eventually.    The plan is to leave work a little early and drive out to Hurricane to the DMV.   I’m hoping to leave here around 4pm.   I’ll put a picture of the new license on here when it’s still hot off the press.

Paul & I are still sick and now Elizabeth has really started to show signs of it also.  Her eyes are always watery and the boogers have appeared.  Poor thing has trouble eating with her nose all blocked up.
