Elizabeth is six months old today.  While she’s big enough, as I have said before, she tends to be just a hair behind on the physical milestones that she should have achieved by now.  This week she has just barely discovered her feet.

Elizabeth is laughing, ‘talking’, giggling, following us around the room with her eyes, rolling over and starting to sleep much better through the night.  We’ve finally gotten her on a better schedule.  After we eat dinner dinner, then we get cleaned up or have a bath and then take Buster for a walk.  We’re usually home by about 8 and then she goes off to bed.  She might wake up once or twice before 10pm, but then we all go to bed and she wakes up once (around 3am) and then wakes up for good around 8 or 9am.   It’s better for us because that’s only one wakeup during the night.

Today at lunch we tried to feed Elizabeth her very first “real” food.  Bananas.  I mixed it up with rice cereal, but she wasn’t having any of it.  She pulled a funny face and spit it out.

Elizabeth isn’t a very good breakfast or lunch eater anyway, so I’ll try again tonight at dinner.

It’s gorgeous weather here at the moment.  Paul took the two kids (Elizabeth and Buster) out for a walk.  I think all three of them need the fresh air and sunshine.

Thank you to everyone who called Cameron yesterday.  He enjoyed having a 1/2 birthday and wanted to have peach pie instead of cake.  He ate 1/4 of the pie after work & dinner.

Call or text and wish him a happy half birthday.  I think tonight I’ll make 1/2 of a birthday cake (single layer instead of double) with candles cut in half.  That should be a nice treat for after he gets home from work.

Cameron got the results from his algrabra test – he got 100%   ~YEAH CAMERON!!

We looked at a house yesterday and it was horrible.  Of course, as in our current place, we’re not afraid of a little elbow grease, but we don’t want to do a major overhaul on the place, which is what this house needed.   It had everything from roaches to slanting floors to tub repair.  It was really bad.

We have 4 or 5 more viewings scheduled in the upcoming week.  We’re hoping that one just jumps up and begs to be moved in to.

Today we FINALLY got Elizabeth’s birth certificate.   (it’s about time!)

Cameron has been working a lot lately.  Sunday he worked 2 shifts.  He worked Monday and works again today and tomorrow after school.   Prom is coming up, so I think he’s trying to gather extra cash for his date with Nadalee.

highchair.jpg  Today is a big day for Elizabeth. She got her first highchair, she rolled over from back to front and she is now exactly 15lbs!

BARLEY.  Elizabeth only woke up once all night long.   The only different thing is that we fed her barley for the first time, rather than oatmeal or rice cereal.   So tonight — more barley!!!  and hopefully another good night’s sleep.

The money from the house sale in Liverpool has finally been moved to the bank in the UK.  A very small portion was moved to the USA account this morning so we can get some immigration papers filed while we hunt for the perfect house.

If anyone wants to help, we’re looking for the perfect house on the perfect street with the perfect square footage with a perfect sized lot with perfect amenities.  Shouldn’t take long.

What a nice long weekend we had!  It’s great to have a work day off every once in a while.  It’s even better when it’s not a federal holiday because then I can go to the bank, post, etc.

The phone has been ringing off the hook this morning.  My boss is back from his week away from the office and he’s being a real jerk.  he’s only here for 1/2 hour, though, before he goes back to court.

We have ordered Elizabeth’s first highchair!  Currently, she lays in her bouncy seat while we feed her, but lately, she’s discovered that if she bounces her legs, the entire seat bounces…. so she does that while we’re trying to feed her… It’s very entertaining (for her).  Last night after her bath, I weighed her.  She was 14 lbs 13 1/2 oz.  She’ll EASILY be 15 lbs by the time she turns 6 months (in about 10 days).

Cameron worked over the weekend and works again tonight.  The weather has been a lot warmer, so it’s not as bad, although he would never complain.  Even when it was near freezing and raining, he never once complained that the work was bad.

We, once again, have many things planned for our long weekend.  This weekend is the St. George Parade of Homes, which we plan on attending.  Also, my ebay auctions are doing quite well, so I will be taking pictures and putting more items up by Tuesday.

Most importantly, though, is Paul’s birthday on Saturday.  He’s going to be a whopping 42 years old ~whew!!  I bought him a few things and I’ll be making him a birthday apple pie tomorrow.  The bank (SBSU) got him a box of his favorite lollypops.

Speaking of banks, we found out today that the sale of the house in England is final, so we can start looking a bit more seriously for a house now.

I hope to have time to read more of my book and maybe even watch a video this weekend, but we’ll probably be doing things around the house instead.

Instead of having a date tonight, Paul & I went to a nice lunch @ the China Palace.  Elizabeth wanted to be held the whole time, but fortunately, Chinese foods comes already in bite sized pieces, so it wasn’t too hard to juggle.  Nothing planned for tonight… just dinner at home and maybe watching a movie if we get time.
