Last night, Elizabeth slept from 9:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., and she probably only woke up because we did. To be fair, she didn’t sleep on Thursday at all, so she was probably just making up the sleep last night. Either way, it was wonderful.

Because today is Boxing day!
ok for the benefit of our American readers ..
-Boxing day is not really a day when everyone in the UK fights (well depending how Christmas went).
-Boxing day makes total sense, we should all have a holiday to get over the holidays.
We spent Christmas day at Daniel and Jessicas and it was a really nice day, I think organized chaos describes it best and that is how Christmas day should be.
Cameron came over for the afternoon and looked like a hairy surf bum in his new baggy colourful pants. Both Cameron and Elizabeth got lots of gifts, Cameron got a target gift card from Grandma and is thinking of buying a digital picture frame so he can display all the photos of sunsets and stuff he has been taking with his digital camera. He seems to have a good eye for photo composition, maybe he could do something with it in the future.
Elizabeth got lots of brightly coloured toys which she will love in another month or two and of course in the way of babys she slept practically the whole time we were there. Well until grandma was leaving then she woke up and wanted to play..
We took our video camera and our digital camera.. and neither me or Kathy checked the batteries so we have a 6 minute video of Mimi opening up her digital picture frame , which she loved.
I think that is all from me , I am sure Kathy will be posting her own thoughts on the day, as for me I think I will be taking it easy on boxing day, maybe watch one or two of the DVD’s I got from Santa..
Oh and if you are interested in the real background of boxing day rather than my ramblings
We got this rocking horse at the Dixie Center when they had their “Santa’s Workshop.”
Paul, Elizabeth & I are in Vegas today. We’re meeting Andy at the Luxor at noon, then I’ll possibly go to the Meadows Mall for a quick shopping trip at Macy’s to get something that I don’t really need. Other than Fry’s, I can’t think of any other place to go, so I’m not intruding on Paul & Andy and their male bonding.
Paul, just because you happen to prop the bottle up in her hand, doesn’t mean she’s “holding” the bottle by herself.
Last night, the weather outside was frightful. It was super duper cold & windy & rainy. The kind where the freezing rain comes at you sideways. When I picked up Cameron from work, he was soaked all the way through his coat, shirt & pants…. and his hands were like ice. I know that because he put them on my face and thought that was soooo funny.
Today is Friday, which means we’re in the home stretch for Christmas. I was going to buy some more stocking stuffers, but Cameron just informed me last night that if we’re not really doing anything, then he’s going to go to his dad’s house, so why do I bother? Most days, Paul & I feel like we just run a hotel for him. Cameron also said that he’ll probably be going to Anne’s house for New Years Eve.
Have you ever sent out holiday cards and wrote “Merry Christmas” on them and after they were mailed, you realized that the receipient might be Jewish?!?! OOPS!!
Elizabeth slept last night for about 6+ hours. It was soooo nice. She’s still drinking gallons, but according to the scale, she hasn’t grown any more in the past few days. Then again, maybe she’s growing up and not out (the opposite of her parents).
Cameron is still enjoying work. He works today, tomorrow & Saturday, and has Sunday & Monday off. We don’t know his schedule after that….. I’d kinda like to know what it is, as it’s coming up awfully quick. I’m sure he’ll work Wednesday because that’s a super busy shopping day.
Andy’s plane landed in Vegas. We’re going down to meet him on Saturday and Paul will meet him at the Luxor at our favorite restaurant (the Pyramid Cafe) for lunch while I make sure the malls are okay. Which one should I go to? Shall I visit the Carters outlet store and buy clothes for Elizabeth, who already has tons of clothes? or maybe I should go to the Meadows Mall and buy for Paul & myself? How about Fry’s Electronics for goodies that we don’t really need…. or do we? You can never have too many computers, according to Paul.
Not much going on here lately. We’re both super busy with work, but somehow managed to get our Christmas cards mailed out this morning.
Elizabeth seems to be constantly hungry. She is drinking every single bottle down to the very bottom and still seems to be starving to death. She’s also sleeping a lot lately, so she’ll probably gain a couple of pounds over the weekend. On Monday, she was 11 lbs 11 oz.
On Saturday, my mother was in town. She expressed her disgust at Paul & I not posting updated pictures of Elizabeth on a regular basis. Here, dear mother, are some new pictures:
Today we’ve been married exactly 3 years. In some ways, it seems as though Paul & I have always been together, but then it seems like the last 3 years have flown by.
Because of obvious reasons, our celebration will be very low key this year. I just got word the Cameron is going to his dad’s house tonight, so we may even go out to dinner. Elizabeth seems a bit extra fussy today, so it definitely won’t be any place romantic, but it’s hard to have romance with a baby around anyway. Especially a baby who has been extra fussy today.
Our car is in the shop this afternoon to get the radiator replaced. On Saturday, we’re going to Vegas again, and then to Glendale, Utah to my parents house for Christmas day. We figured that it would be better to do all the travelling with a good radiator. I’d swear that we’ve replaced everything on this car since we got it. It’s been frustrating.
